DSC07190When you step though the greenhouse doors of Commissary at The Line Hotel you are swathed in a world of celadon, emerald, and chartreuse. The bohemian rooftop restaurant is an unexpected yet lovely departure from the ultramodern vibe of its host, The Line Hotel in Korea town. Greenery Surrounds the space, perfectly complementing chef Roy Choi’s veggie forward menu. Speaking of the menu, could it get any cuter? The menu is an illustrated storybook of ingredients with no verbiage to be found. Choi’s imaginative dishes are environmentally conscious, containing high quality seasonal ingredients harvested as locally as possible. My personal kryptonite is the perfectly roasted carrots with a dreamy green puree of kale, avocado, cilantro, tomatillos, and olive. Don’t forget to order the signature gin n’ juice cocktail, pairing gin with fresh pressed fruit and veggie juices.

xoxo,

Celeste
