Is professional Teeth Whitening painful? No it’s amazing!
Hi loves! It’s officially been two weeks since my in office Zoom teeth whitening procedure at my dentist’s office and I’m obsessed! I wanted to write a post to share my experience with you plus a few added tips and tricks.
I’ve tried a multitude of at home whitening solutions that had mild improvements on my normal teeth staining from coffee and red wine. Last time I was at my dentist, LA Dental, I noticed that they offer a peroxide based in office treatment called Zoom bleaching. I’ve heard rumblings about teeth whitening being really painful, thinking it may not be the best choice for my sensitive teeth. I decided to try the zoom bleaching despite my apprehension because I really wanted to whiten my teeth before the wedding. I whole heartily trust my dentist and she said it wouldn’t be painful so I made an appointment and prepared myself.
I drank my favorite very green smoothie pre whitening because I was instructed not eat any colored or staing foods post appointment. The procedure performed by my hygienist consisted of covering my gums, painting my teeth with the whitening solution, and exposing them to a special light. The whole process took a mere 30 minutes and was painless!! I looked in the mirror right after the treatment and I was shocked! The results were immediate, the photo above depicts my same day results!
Post treatment I was able to drink water and eat light colored food with only a touch of occasional sensitivity. This treatment makes teeth really susceptible to staining for the first 3 days after treatment so it’s very important to avoid staining foods. I’m not gonna lie, it was a touch difficult giving up all of my favorite dark colored morning and evening beverages. I substituted sparking water for all of my normal beverages and it really helped normalize my daily rituals.
I personally avoided eating colored foods or drinking colored beverages for a week just to be certain that my teeth would stay pearly white! I would 100% recommend this treatment to anyone who wants whiter teeth! My dentist charges $150 for the in office Zoom bleaching and I plan on doing it once a year if need be. Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Essence: This lightweight moisturizing mist smells like floral heaven and weightlessly hydrates with Hyaluronic acid. It gave my skin an all-day hydrated feel and plump appearance.

The Lotus Essence with Lotus Leaf: Essence is my new Korean beauty obsession, it’s a light moisturizing layer that you pat into the skin. Marie Veronique Intensive Repair Serum: This powerful serum works to balance oil production and clear skin gently. It tingles in the best way, healing breakouts with green tea and salicylic acid.

Tata Harper Clarifying Moisturizer: This is the perfect moisturizer for acne prone skin, it gently hydrates with soothing aloe. It left my skin feeling protected but not clogged.

Who better to stalk for skincare secrets than Jamie, a gorgeous estitician who cares for the skin of top LA models, influencers, and yours truly! In this post I’m highlighting how to find a trustworthy estitician and sharing skincare secrets from Jamie herself.
Holistic home care is the only way to achieve balanced, hydrated, and clear skin but finding a trusted skin professional is also essential. Having a true skin expert to assess your skin on a frequent basis, educate you, and be on speed dial to handle your skincentric freakouts makes this life exponentially better.
When looking for an estitician I suggest getting a referral from a friend with bomb skin, it’s a pretty good indication that their estitician is experienced. Find yourself a skin professional who uses a non toxic product line, to truly nourish your skin. especially in cold weather. the more you hydrate the delicate area around the eyes and lips the less wrinkles you will see.

3. Don’t dry your skin out! Counterintuitively oily skin needs extra hydration. The more you strip your skin of the natural oils the more oil your skin will produce to make up for what you are incessantly removing or drying out. Add more moisture and keep away from oil based products. Also try not using powder foundations these also tend to dry up the skin too much.

4. Get rid of blackheads: Notice how the nose and cheek area always have a few blackheads? In order to start clearing those unwanted blackheads and minimize pores, you have to get in there. Once a week after a bath or shower, utilize a magnifying mirror and just start gently squeezing them out, one at a time. Post home extraction put a calming serum or blemish cream on top and leave alone for another week.

My step by step daily meditation practice plus my favorite meditation expanders
I was once so intimidated by meditation that I wouldn’t even consider sitting down to attempt it. These days I’m fully addicted to my practice and cannot function without at least 15 minutes of meditation first thing in be morning. In this post I’m going to share how easy and rewarding mediation can be, especially with the addition of expanders!
Meditation has changed my life for the better, reducing my anxious tendencies and cortisol levels. Reducing cortisol is essential to clear acne free skin, it’s also primarily mental. Finding enjoyment in meditation can be much easer if you start with some aromatherapy, a beautiful crystal, and some relaxing music. I call my fun meditation add on’s, my expanders.
I want to share how easy and unpretentious starting a meditation practice can be. Follow the steps below to clear your mind and skin with meditation, don’t forget to get creative with expanders!
My Step by step meditation practice
1. Select an essential oil that speaks to you, I’m loving the Twig + Petal line especially the NEROLI. Dab some on your wrists for a subtle scent. LINK
2. Select a crystal, don’t overthink it, follow your intuition. I’ve been into smoky quartz and celestite lately.

4. Set your phone timer to anywhere from 5-30 minutes depending on your practice
5. Sit or lay down wherever is comfortable, close your eyes, and allow your thoughts to float away. More thoughts will come to you, just gently release them.

Hi loves! I’m so excited to share my new meditative journaling practices and teach you how to make your own Happy List.
With constant notifications, texts, calls, and social scrolling, our minds are getting systematically programmed to be anxiety prone. I’ve been anxiety prone ever since I can remember, but it took a turn for the worst about a year ago when I got mentally entrenched in the social media cyclone. My cortisol levels were rising and it was causing major skin issues like breakouts. I knew I had to make a change.
Shortly after my mental and skin freak out I started incorporating mini morning mindfulness practices. I’m now heavily addicted to meditation in the best possible way and I’ve expanded upon my practice to include 15 minutes of reading to keep my zen vibes flowing. I’ve been very curious about the meditative journaling practices I see on Instagram.
In last week’s instastory poll, you loves overwhelmingly clicked to confirm your appreciation for the practice of journaling, inspiring me to get a journal of my very own. I got two colorful and purse friendly options from the Papyrus desk flare collection to fit both of my Gemini moods. Can I tell you how good it feels to put pen to paper? Not only the kinesthetic motion of writing, but the school days nostalgia. This physical process of journaling put my mind at ease, palpably reducing my stress hormone levels.
In addition to the delightful relaxation vibes, journals are perfect because they have nothing to do with your phone. Post journaling, I feel relaxed, renewed, and my skin is benefiting from the results.
When I sat down with my new Papyrus journals, I thought about free writing, goal setting, and creating a gratitude page. Instead of doing exactly what I saw others do on Instagram, I did what was natural to me. I naturally felt inclined to jot down some simple things that made me happy in this life.
Writing down the simple things I love in my journal made happiness feel so accessible. We often over complicate and over analyze everything to the point that it’s no longer enjoyable. My journaling process is the antithesis of my overactive anxiety prone mind, I call it my happy list. Writing down this simple list almost brought me to tears, it’s not about the opulent lifestyle that I think will make me happy, it’s about the little things I already have access to.
My new practice is to do a monthly happy list in my beautiful Papyrus journal. Identifying my happy line items will allow me to consciously include as many as possible into my daily life.
