Hi loves,
Happiest of Monday’s to you! I am beyond excited to share that The True Spoon is featured in Vanity Fair online! My assignment was to review three enchanting booked, all related to how holistic wellness enhances beauty. Here is the full article

There are beauty books and there are health books, but it wasn’t until recently that we saw the two so seamlessly become one. These three “lifestyle” hardcovers were meticulously chosen for their abundance of knowledge on beautifying from within. Los Angeles based beauty and wellness blogger, Celeste Wilson of the True Spoon devoured these books from cover to cover to educate us on the many discoveries made in the realm of “natural beauty.”

One Gun Ranch Malibu, Biodynamic Recipes for Vibrant Living by Alice Bamford and Ann Eysenring.

Want to emit effervescent eternal beauty? Then get your buns off the couch, move to the One Gun Ranch in Malibu, and do exactly as you’re told. Planting, fertilizing, growing, harvesting, cooking, eating, being one with nature, and feeling damn good is its mantra. Authors and biodynamic farmers Alice Bamford and Ann Eysenring give us a peak into their holistic lifestyle through this artful book. While their life paths to wellness were completely different, the couple shares an unwavering passion for healthy living. Alice Bamford is a British billionaire heiress, hailing from an entrepreneurial powerhouse family. She’s the daughter of Anthony Bamford of JCB, who successfully converted their food production business from conventional to organic. This childhood education helped Alice and her life partner, Eysenring, create an organic wellness paradise from start to finish.Through each extensive chapter, the ranch’s namesake book overviews the biodynamic philosophy of thoughtful enrichment: A “circle of life” approach is strictly adhered to on the ranch, celebrating a zero waste operation and a style of opportunistic farming that produces the most nutrient dense food possible. What I would give to eat one of their tomatoes fresh off the vine! The microbial content in each piece of produce aids in fighting environmental free radicals, which minimizes the affects of aging on the body. Now that your skin looks forever 21 from the happy microbes in your gut from nutritious foods like under-utilized vegetable, celery root! Recipes like the one for celery root on pages 166-167 have given me the knowledge to make healthy choices based on what my body needs, making me a true believer in the power of this lifestyle.
And let’s not forget the glutes! The One Gun Ranch promotes a functional approach to fitness as an opportunity to connect with nature, calm the nervous system, and strengthen muscles essential for farm work. I’m taking all of this outdoor fitness advice in attempt to chill out, turn down my constant internal chatter, and finally enjoy the act of movement. This seemingly straightforward approach to de-stressing and soul stimulating could be the key to truly feeling beautiful. Mega babes, including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Suki Waterhouse, and Bella Thorne have all visited the ranch to experience the feel-good and glowing vibes sprouting through the land of nutrients
