Acne prone skin hack, sheet masks for moisture and glow

September 17, 2018

You’ve seen them on countless instagram stories, so what’s the deal with the sheet mask trend? Who’s skin can benefit? How often do you do it? Which one is worth your money? I’m here to demystify all of your questions about the skincare trend and tell you why my latest acne prone skin hack is using sheet masks for moisture and glow.

Sheetmasking (pretty close to Webster verb status in my opinion) has been a huge Korean beauty trend for years and it’s popularity has fully infiltrated the beauty routines of women all over the world.  The ease of use, seemingly instantaneous skin hydration, long term skin benefits, and relatively low cost has made these sheets of wonder, a skincare must.

No matter your skin type, you can immensely benefit from these hydration bombs. The key to successful masking is finding the right one for your skin. Since my skin is oily, sensitive, and acne prone my top sheet mask pick gently hydrates without clogging pores. My pick will hydrate any skin type without negative effects but it’s essential to pay attention to whats happening with you skin day in and day out.

They key to healthy skin is constant check in’s and self assessments, these check in’s will dictate how often you have a #selfcare sheet mask moment. Personally I love to sheet mask once or twice a week depending on how dry my skin feels. When I travel you can always find me sheet masking on every flight, no matter how crazy I look! End of summer/early fall is especially drying on the skin so I amp up to 2-3 times a week!

Since I sheetmask so often I’ve had the chance to test ample brands! I’ve tested over 25 non toxic sheet masks and I’ve found one brand that takes the hydration cake, Whamisa organic. I found my Whamisa masks from Credo beauty, my most trusted source for all things non toxic skincare and beauty. I especially love their Organic flowers hydrogel sheet mask, it quenches my skin like no other without causing breakouts! The high concentration of organic aloe and fermented flower extracts deeply penetrates my skins moisture barrier and leaves my skin looking baby soft.

I hope you love this mask as much as I do! If you can’t find this specific mask or you want to experiment with other brands I just suggest that you look for organic brands free of oils, parabens, and sulfates. Happy sheetmasking loves!

Celeste
