All the cool kids are eating tacos down by the LA river in Frogtown. Frogtown is one of hottest new eastside neighborhoods, it’s outfitted with everything a young hipster needs to get by. You can pick up a bike, get some vintage threads, some new ink and get a damn good margarita from Salazar, the outdoor Mexican joint of my dreams. Salazar can only be described as cinematic, it looks like a dessert mirage of a 1950’s gas station, in the best way. The menu at Salazar is pretty classic Mexican with delicious tacos and marinated meats grilled to order. Their classic menu is updated to please the health conscious new community with veggie options like the grilled garden plate and the roasted beet salad. My seafood tostada order was super flavorful and photogenic to boot. Personally I think the cocktail program is the true standout, my fresh made spicy mezcal margarita really hit the spot on my 1pm lunch date. You guys really have to check this place out, you probably already have because this post is about a year passed due, but now their open for brunch so you have a new excuse to day drink.
